A Little About Me!

Hi, I’m Ramya, the owner of RAkreationsbyRamya! I’m living happily in Texas with my wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters. I kicked off this creative adventure back in 2020, right when the world was hit by COVID. Ever since I was little, I’ve been drawn to creativity, and I used to make all sorts of crafts. When I was younger, I took some summer classes and learned some painting and crafting techniques, which really helped me discover my hidden talent. My dad always loved giving gifts made by me, which only encouraged me to keep creating.

When I moved to the USA and had kids, I used to get super creative and decorate their birthday parties, customizing everything myself. One day, my brother had this idea: “Why don’t you start making crafts and selling them?” That’s when I got a Cricut machine and embarked on my crafting adventure! I wasn’t really planning to sell anything at first; I was just thinking of making customized items for my friends and family.

My two amazing daughters, Myra and Maanya, are my biggest inspiration! They’re the reason I started creating, and they always remind me that every little detail counts. So many of my designs are inspired by the love, joy, and creativity they bring into my life every single day!

Our Journey

I used to make birthday gifts for my daughters’ friends’ parties, always striving to improve my skills. However, when we moved to Texas, I took a year off. In January 2024, I launched my Etsy page. Initially, I faced challenges in securing orders, but things gradually improved. I had previously worked in a large company, traveling daily, but due to the health of my children, I decided to quit and pursue this as my full-time endeavor.

In July 2024, I ventured into the laser business by purchasing a laser machine, driven by my desire to expand my expertise in this field. Unfortunately, for almost six months, I encountered a significant struggle in obtaining orders, as I had invested considerable time and money in acquiring these machines.

By January 2025, I shifted my focus towards enhancing my product offerings. I actively participated in local networking groups, cultivated relationships, and began receiving orders within my community.
